About me..

Hey, I’m Steven.

I photograph weddings in a calm, natural way, focusing on real moments as they happen. Couples often tell me they feel at ease very quickly, even if they were nervous about being in front of the camera. That’s important to me. When people feel comfortable, the photos tend to feel more honest too.

On the day, I work quietly and without being intrusive, letting things unfold naturally while keeping a close eye on the moments that matter. I’ll happily step in with gentle direction when it helps, but nothing is forced or overly posed.

I’m married and a dad to two young kids, which has definitely shaped how I approach weddings. I understand how meaningful these photos become over time, and I take a lot of care with the memories I’m trusted to capture.

I genuinely enjoy what I do, and I put a lot into every wedding I photograph.

Are you booking for 2026 and 2027?
Yes, I’m currently taking bookings for 2026 and 2027.

How far in advance do couples usually book you?
Around a year, but it can be more or less.

Are engagement or couple shoots available?
Absolutely. I love these. It’s all a part of the story.

How would you describe your photography style in simple terms?
Candid and natural.

How do you work on the wedding day? Quiet or hands-on?
It depends on the client’s wishes, but usually I’m hands-off or working with a timeline.

How do you help couples who feel awkward in front of the camera?
I like you to feel like I’m a friend. I’ll ask questions, have a bit of small talk, sometimes a joke, and just keep it relaxed.

Why do you recommend an engagement/couple shoot?
Because it helps build trust. It’s such an important day, so it’s important that you trust me.

Have you photographed at churches, low light venues, bad weather, etc?
Yes. For example, I photographed at Lydiard Church and it was candlelit.

How long does it take to get the gallery back?
Usually 4 to 12 weeks, but sometimes sooner.

How many photos do couples usually receive?
It depends wildly on how long the wedding is, and how much time we have for portraits and different parts of the day.

Are photos high resolution and downloadable?
Yes. Pic-Time is a beautiful platform to showcase your gallery, and it’s where you can download and share both web-size and high resolution files.

Do you use flash during ceremonies?
I really try not to because it can be distracting, but if lighting conditions are bad then sometimes there’s no choice.
